The hotel is very confortable, clean and well located. The staff which consists of 1 person in the reception is very freindly. The breakfast which is included in the price is a a bit poor considering that eveything is in a package and is self service. No problem with self service but there could be some fresh fruit and better quality of bread. Other than that there is no compaints about the hotel.

Really nice, clean, simple hotel. Perfect location for exploring Montalcino and the surrounding area. If you stay here you must visit the family's wine cellar in town and if possible their vineyard, they've been making wine here since the late 16th century! Their Brunello Rossi is fantastic.
The breakfast offered is the one weak spot, use it as a quick cup of coffee and find something more enticing in town.

Montalcino is a wonderful place, and the location of this B&B is also very good in terms of its proximity to all the sights. The staff were also friendly and apologized for the inconvenience we had had with the noise. Perhaps we only had bad luck (with the noise), and hope other travelers will enjoy their stay more than we did.
While the room itself was nice, and so the location, with a view to the castle, we hardly got any sleep that night and left exhausted the next day. First, the ventilator in the bathroom was defect. The fan touched some plastic parts and was making a terrible noise. I was told in the morning that they had had a technician over to look at it a few days earlier but that he obviously had not fixed the issue. Duh. Second, the walls were paper-thin so we were additionally kept up by some bikers in the next room. Finally, the municipality starting collecting the garbage as well as sweeping the square in front of the building early in the morning.

This is the best B&B I have even seen. Large room. Castle view. Free parking and wifi. On downtown. And much more

Only good thing was the beautiful view of the Castle from my bedroom window and the position of the b&b. Very helpful receptionist.
This B&B was very disappointing. Nobody to help carry luggage - the bathroom was terrible. You could not sit on the toilet seat because your knees touch the shower. Moved to my daughter's room as this had a shower curtain so you could at least use the loo! No wardrobe in this room. Breakfast mediocre - empty cereal container - no yoghurt and smells from the kitchenette. Even left a day early!

Location, location and location. Also would like to thank the very friendly and helpful staff.
Be prepared for sleepless night should you have a room facing the street

Very nice location and charming building.
We were unlucky and there was a party held in front of our window which lasted 3 am. I guess it is not regular though:-)

Romantic building and delicious (and enough) breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Good relation with their own Restaurant.
Insulation of one of windows was insufficient during heavy rain.

Great location. The window in our room looked out at the Fortezza which was glorious. We had a bit of a time finding the propierter to let us in, but once settled it was a great place.

Central location right next to the fortress in the old town.
Very small room & bathroom - old furniture in need of refurbishment - no air conditioning in a poorly ventilated room at the top of the house - expensive for what it was. Not recommended.
